The Cheap PS3 and PSP Games Thread

I figured we could do with a similar thread to that started by carlito8 but for the Playstation 3/PSP. This is not meant to be a definitive list by any means, but as a starting point a look at some of the popular games available on this console (some older some newer) and where they are available for the lowest prices that I've noticed.

B

Bioshock 2 is now £22.85 from ShopTo.Net.

Brutal Legend; £12.99 from HMV.

D

Dead Space; £8.85 from ShopTo.Net.

E

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (GOTY Edition); £9.85 from Zavvi.

G

Grand Theft Auto 4; £12.99 delivered from HMV.

H

Half Life 2 Orange Box; £12.07 from 101cd.com.

K

Killzone 2; £12.99 from Tesco Entertainment.

M

Metal Gear Solid 4: £15.95 from Zavvi.

Mirrors Edge; £5.85 from ShopTo.Net.

N

Need For Speed: Shift; £19.99 from Amazon.

P

Prince of Persia; £9.99 from Play.

R

Red Faction Guerrilla; £9.93 from Amazon.

Resident Evil 5; £14.87 from 101cd.com.

Resistance 2: £14.95 from Zavvi.

Rock Band (Game only); £9.85 from ShopTo.Net.

T

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10; £15.99 from Gameplay

U

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune; £14.91 from Asda

Hope it proves useful to some.

Robert

Thanks, this could be quite an interesting thread.

I would say Killzone 2 at £10 is amazing value.

That was the game that basically prompted this thread, one I bought recently. Despite not overly enjoying the demo, I read that it was not really representative of the full game. So I figured it was worth picking up at this price. Some of the other games have been cheaper before, some will no doubt drop further in due course (usually after you've just bought them). PS3 games unfortunately seem to be more expensive than the Xbox 360 versions on the whole.

My local Game were selling pre-owned copies of Resistance 2 for £7.99. That was last week though, so it might have been a speical offer for that week only. Would have picked one up but haven't played the first yet.

Great idea for a thread Robert, you should maybe consider changing it to Cheap PS3/PSP Games and cover all Sony bases?.

I picked up Soul Calibur Broken Destiny (PSP) £4.99 @ Game yesterday, still showing as in stock online and gets pretty good scores over at Metacritic.

Well, you could always return them for a refund. Depends on the price differential though.

S_K_N, I amended the title as per your suggestion. The last PSP game I picked up (though I think it's been cheap for a while) was God of War: Chains of Olympus. It's £7.99 from Powerplay Direct.

Don't bother with Resistance 2, it's cack. I've never played the first one.

Was gonna pop in and see if I could pick up a copy on the way to work, but it's back up to £14.99 online now so probably the same in store. Damn

The deal on Killzone 2 is no longer available, so I amended it to the next best price which is £12.99. Also, the price of Bioshock 2 has gone up but it's still available for that price from Amazon and Gameplay.

Yeah sorry I could have probably posted the deal a little earlier. afaik it had been going since sunday, I was surprised when it was still on yesterday when I checked as it was an awesome price. Thats the nature of bargain forum posts I guess, you have to be really quick onto them or you miss out.

They (Game) sent me my copy of Assassins Creed 2 White Edition today, unboxed it and pretty impressed overall. The smell of the figure reminds me of when I was a kid and had a Star Wars figure collection - haven't tryed the game yet.

A couple of others I spotted, that seem to be coming down in price.

Lego Rock Band; £14.93 from The Hut.

The Saboteur; £20.95 from My Memory.

I've got it on Xbox and it's pretty good fun, not sure how many people you'd find playing online these days though.

Try Gameplay

Went for this from Game and, best of all, it was free using my Reward Points. Thanks S_K_N
