HELP! Installed XP to same partition as Win 7

I wanted to have my PC dual booting Win 7 and XP. Win 7 is already installed.

I was going to install XP on a different partition but selected the wrong one and installed on same partition as Win 7.

Has this overwritten the Win 7 files? Is there anyway to boot Win 7 without reinstalling? It isn't showing in dual boot options.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

depending on how you installed it you may have told it to format the partition?

have a look at the folder structure and if theres 2 windows folders and 2 program files and if so you may have to reinstall but you'll have chance to cop your data away first

Nah, data recovery isn't a problem.

Just wondered if there was a quick fix solution rather than reinstalling.

Cheers anyway

EDIT: Put the win 7 disk in and ran startup repair, now back to normal! Simples!
