Strange request but I need to look into this, so that cooperate messages can be displayed on the top of all desktops.

I imagine, it would just pull a RSS feed from the Intranet site and work ?

Any recommendation, cheaper the better ?

Apart from being annoying and distracting, people have a tendancy to 'kill' applications that get on their tits!

At our place, they enforce a desktop image which has sponsored words from the MD (ie, Dont do this, don't do that, and don't even *think* of doing that).

Its easy to knock up a VB application which sits on the desktop and displays messages (or sits in the notification area of the taskbar and flashes, etc) but again, its easy to kill these applications.

Thats the thing that the boss wants...

Staff can not kill apps here so its not a problem.. I am making sure I wont having it on my desktop tho..

Just a random google came up with this or this - these may or may not suit your needs - if they don't there's a chance that the developers might be able to do some modifications for you, or you could commission someone like myself to develop a bespoke solution to meet your exact needs.
