Grr, Call of Duty, this, a possible new telly...my wages are merely leaving skidmarks on their way in & out of my account! Been waiting for my local Blockbuster to get this in to trade my dvd set against but that is just a daft price. Cheers wolfgang :-) Just hafta hope I win the vouchers in the other thread now!

Went for that (through the link), after I had to hand over my last unopened version as a last minute "What have i got in the house?" birthday present.

I'm dying to get this set.

However there are lots of comments from people who have bought this set and that Godfather 2 has skipping issues around the middle of the film. Quite a number of people have had refunds from amazon.co.uk regarding this.

Has anyone bought from play recently this boxset and for Godfather 2 to play ok all the way through? Ie is the latest batch ok for playback.

I've got a PS3 and Panasonic BD80 for bluray playback.

I'm waiting for the inevitable "it'd be rude not to at that price" myself.

That must be a line from some cut of the film that I haven't seen yet.

Just wondering if Blu-ray really adds anything to this? What's the picture quality like given the age of the film?

unsure myself - all comparisons are against the 2001 dvd set - I have the remastered DVD set.. if you have the former then its worth it:

Huge difference with the old set. I still haven't got round to watching part 2 and 3 and bought it in 2001.

this is fine if you have the 2001 box set, but as I have the remastered set I want a comparison between that and the blu ray and I cannot find it.
