Not going to argue with any of that with the exception of maybe giving best actress to Horsey-mouth for One Night in Mongkok?

...or do you mena Cecilia Cheung should have won the award instead of Zhang Ziyi? In which case I'd probably agree except she won it last year so it's probably all political style voting or something.

So the awards were largely split between 2046 and Kung Fu Hussle. Both of which are solid films but I don't think either was anything exceptional tbh.

Why doesn't someone buy the rights to this award? Ok it aint never gonna be big as the Oscars or the Emmys (sp), but still... Channel 4 put on Bollywood films around 1-2 in the morning, so they could, for example, easily put this on around that time.

It's a term of endearment for her.

She's pretty nice looking sometimes (with he mouth shut).

Cecilia looked nice in King of Comedy (especially in that sailor uniform ), but she's a bit boney these days...

Chris Doyle must have a shedload of these awards. He seems to do the cinematography for all Hong Kong films!

She was involved in a near fatal car accident and has struggled to put the weight back on since.

She looks like Faye Wong in that pic! Definitely think she deserved to win for One Night In Mongkok over Zhang Ziyi's turn in 2046.

Hmmm, I knew there was a reason King Of Comedy was my favourite Stephen Chow film...

Best Director - Derek Yee tung-sing didn't win last year but he got the nod this year.
Best Film Kung Fu Hustle - overall I would say yes
Zhang Ziyi was good and Tony Leung won this time round but not for In the mood for love ...

The HK film awards is a joke!

one night in mong kok was a big disapointment when i watched that, i cant see why that would win any prize..
And for the rest the awards always go to the same actors & actresses, and jackie chan always gets an award also. This time the lifetime achievement award..i wonder what they come up with next year..

They used to show the award ceremony on CNE on UK Sat TV - I don't know if they stopped doing this.

And I must get round to watching 2046 again, fell asleep half way through, just as it seemed to start some sort of story!
