Amazon - do they have a price drop guarantee?

If you buy something on Amazon UK, and the price drops a couple of weeks later, do they give you the difference or is it just hard cheese? (I suspect I know the answer...) The reason I ask is that the other week I bought LOTR:TTT CE (with Gollum statue) for the best part of 30 notes, and last night I discovered they'd lowered the price to £19.97

They would drop it if hadn't been dispatched -but if you've already got it then you're out of luck.

Now get the hell off my drive.

I have bought stuff from them in the past and I have had money refunded to me if the item has dropped price, although on a DVD this is usually only a pound or two.

Yeah the same as happened with me a few times, generally with DVDs that i've pre-ordered.

.com will refund the difference - I always just ask if I need to send the item back and re-order a new one to get the cheaper price - they always come back offering a refund

Incorrect as mentioned. They refund for drops up to 30 days. I have emailed them once and they did the refund within a week. Another time, they emailed me to tell me the price had dropped and they had refunded the difference without any prompting. Which is why I use them again and again and rate them the best etailer on the web.
