Cry Dennis Hopper. RIP

Will be gutted to lose him from the film word - but at least here is a man who can't honestly say he hasn't lived life to the fullest.

Reportedly in his final days due to prostate cancer and he files for divorce from his 5th wife of 14 years (his longest).
Heavy, man.

Oh man, I love Hopper. Had no idea he was so ill. Saw him a few years back in London, doing the tourist thing.

I assumed the googly eyes were for Mr Hopper's barmy behaviour, as outlined in the article. Personally, I'd have gone with this one: . Enjoy your judging, however.

Don't get your knickers in a twist. It was reference to his rather eccentric, (and therefore Hopperesque) decision (which I'm sure is financially motivated).

Love the man - Blue Velvet is my favourite film of all time in no small part to his performance.

He is however quite - helping to make him such a legend.

Hope he is not in too much pain.

Yeah, I got it thanks. My point (sorry, I must mean judgement) is that the real story is his impending death; not the way that he chooses to spend his final days.
No? just me then.

"Man acts like tosser on deathbed" always going to be more interesting than "Man on deathbed".

Had no idea he was so ill. He has been in some brilliant, and some terrible, movies. My personal favourites are Wim Wenders' The American Friend, and a sadly little-seen western called Kid Blue, not to mention Blue Velvet, of course.

Better than Blue Velvet? Surely not.

Sad to hear he's on his way out, though.

Don't be daft. That accolade belongs to Waterworld.

Did you actually read the article before you linked to it. Here may be a clue:

Adding to the confusion, a family friend told Huffington Post that Hopper is mentally incapacitated from the enormous amounts of medication he is on given his state.

No, that'll be Speed. And yes, I'm being serious.

Didn't realise he was so ill, guess it's any day now

Speed + True Romance were ace, loved his cameo in Entourage too.

River's Edge and Blue Velvet are the Hopper I remember, with Out Of The Blue and, of course, Texas Chainsaw Massacre II as close runners up.

I still hope he'll go on to make more
