Think you'll find it won't match The Dark Knight for takings as it will lack the staying power and drop off quite rapidly after the first 2 weeks.

That is very true, as I've not given a positive review to anyone that's asked me about it so far.

I watched Bad Boys 2 for the first time on Saturday (it was £3 in Tesco when we went shopping) and thought it was similar to this in "did what it said on the tin"

Just searched the forums for posts about it, and it's pretty funny that if you replace Transformers 2 with Bad Boys 2 the threads are practically identical.

here's a quote from jonathan.e in 2003

"A plot. Characterisation. Less shouting. I’m both amused and dismayed that a generation of people are growing up thinking this kind of crap is actually good filmmaking. At least back in the days of yore (80s) similar nonsense only took up 90 minutes of our lives rather than the bloated 150 this does. From the birthdays visible in profiles it seems most people who like this are 25 and under. Quelle surprise.
25%@RToms "

I think i've almost seen this word for word in this thread ! Similarly the original transformers thread is identical too, from people lambasting the comedy, to complaining about the length.

I'm going to find a Pearl harbour thread now....

Pearl Harbor is Armageddon meets Windtalkers, with a little tiny bit of Titanic. No more, no less. Take from that what you will.

out of curiousity. how old are you people? ill start off being 23. maybe a poll would be in order. As mentioned above it does seem to be aimed at the under 25s bracket and everyone i know loved it ( all under 25)... u might be onto something hookbeak
