MiniDV Camcorder advice please?

Hi,

Hope this forum is fine for this kinda query.. I'm thinking of getting a camcorder with a view to getting stuff onto SVCD / DVD - so anyone got any recommendations based on the following

1 - MiniDV (so I can connect to the PC via Firewire)
2 - Analogue In (composite - so I can convert some VHS stuff)
3 - Less than a grand! (preferably a bit less.. like £700?)

Any other features I should perhaps be considering, such as being able to record in 16:9 widescreen?

Try Lets Go Digital (http://www.letsgodigital.co.uk) I recently ordered a digital camcorder from them, in ther specials section at half price. I ordered it over the phone at about 2.00pm in the afternoon and it arrived at 7.00am the next morning.

I also sought advice from them as to which model. I am sure they will be able to help and at a good price.
