Hi.
Got a Mate who has bought one of these players. He recons its region 1 only. Is it possible to make this machine multi region, or will he have to have it chiped?

a mate of mine has one. i looked around a few months ago and it seems that you need to get it chipped. about £80, but he wasn''t keen to invalidate his spiffing 5 yr sony warranty.
