just wondering if anybody can confirm that there is no such thing as a DV-747 and that there is only the DV-747a?

Some retailers offer the DV-747 but I can't find anything that says that it really exists and , if it does, any differences between the two.

The a signifies DVD-Audio so no there isn't a DV747

Its most likley the dealers have failed to add the "A" onto the model, there is no actual DV747, only DV747A, so it will be the same machine, just a spelling error.
