I watched Jeepers Creepers last night(which I bought from QXL).Everything seemed O.K but i thought the printing on the cover to be a bit poor but taking it out of the case it seemed genuine Disc .The only thing wrong when I got the disc was that it wasn't shrink wrapped and there was no inlay in the case.
Looking at the cover it says there are alternate endings and deleted scenes ect. but I can't find them anywhere on the disc. This got me a bit worried and I was reading the cover more thouroughly and in the ratings box it says .

FOR TORROE,VIOLENCE/GORE,LANGUAGE AND BRIFF NUDITY

Now I'm not the best speller in the world but surely they wouldn't print this ,Could anyone confirm if my disc is genuine or not.
Thank you.

Sounds like a pirate to me, AKA silver.

Does smell like a silver to me. The R1 Jeepers Creepers is double-sided with the extra features on the reverse. It sounds like they've only copied Side One.

Get your money back, leave negative feedback and warn us all who the seller is.

and only the Region Three copy has DTS, so if the menus are in English, then its definitely a pirate.

I'm selling a R2 pre-release copy for £6 if you're interested! :D

How do they play in dts then, I assume it's not a proper dts track?
A friend of mine keeps getting them and harks on how they are dts :(

I don't know, it came up on the amp that it was a dts track and it certainly sounded like it .Like I said earler it's a very good copy cos if I hadnt given it a second glance I wouldn't have known.

I can undertand in the case of jeepers creepers there is a source that the dts can be ripped from. But what about the Back to the future and star wars slivers. I'm not aware of any source that the dts soundtrack can come from

I don't have any other copies so wouldn't be able to comment if their dts or not

2 types of dvd silvers you can get, dvd5 and dvd9, dvd9 being able to store more as the disk has more capacity, hence dts soundtracks extras etc etc (direct original transfers)

on the cover what region does it say it is? as far as i was aware of, all dvd silvers are region 0 or ALL.

maybe you can try the disk on a standalone dvd player and force the player into different regions so you can find out what region it is. prob be a region0 though, so does look like you were not old the truth matey.

no luck mate.....this is a common scam with many an unscrupulous provider.....

I wont pontificate to you about the downside of these disc....but I too have been stung... I used to think they were good....but ive come to my senses....so I can sympathise....

A lot of the time it's not true DTS...or for that matter DD5.1 - the sound is usually normal 2:0 thats been split between 5 channels....Goodness knows why they go the effort....but they do.....Even when it is true DD5:1 or DTs.....there are usually features missing.....

Moreover you find examples of the picture pixelising or freezing on different DDV players....

All I can say is...hopefully you've learned your lesson....

Yes, its the last time that I'll be buying dvds on an auction site.
By the way bigup I do assume its region 0 cos last week I tried the others on my dads pc and it would not play as its region 3 but this played no trouble at all.
