View Full Version : What's the best place to get loads of cans of Coca Cola?

I'm after about 50-100 cans of Coca Cola.

One of my housemates loves the stuff and prefers cans to bottles.

Any info would be great.

Cheers

Try yer local cash and carry.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but cash and carry's are only open to the trade and do cases of 24 cans for around £4. So you'll need to find a friendly shop owner who might get it for you for a small charge.

Failing that, the next best is probably Makro, who are a cash and carry who are open to the public. You'll need to sign up for a card or pay for a guest card valid for 1 day. (Last time i checked it cost £2)

To be honest mate the easiest option is probably supermarkets that ocassionally do deals on 12 packs.

Hope this helps!

In all fairness the only chain of C&C's open to the public in the London area is Makro and they are slightly more expensive than the ones that only deal with trade customers like Bestways and Bookers C&C's.

Where abouts in London are you 8-]? If you can't get into one of these trade only C&C's then try the chinese supermarkets like See Woo in Greenwich (opposite the B&Q warehouse) or Wing Yip in Purley Way Croydon. May not be as cheap as the trade C&C's but better than anywhere else. Unless the supermarkets have some offer on.

I'm in Hammersmith.

See Woo or Hoo Hing are pretty good.

The Coke is slightly cheaper than Tescos but the 7UP is very cheap.

The Schweppes Cream Soda works out at about 60 per can though.:(

Sainsburies seem to be doing 24 cans for £5.95, which works out as 24.8p per can.

That seems pretty good to me, as I have no idea where any cash and carries would be.

Also since we only need about 50 cans per month, we're only looking to buy about 100 or so at one time.

Costco's good. Otherwise keep an eye on Safeway, every six/seven weeks the 12 cans for £2 offer will go by.

The best stuff is Coca-Cola Classic, thats the old taste b4 they changed the recipe a few years back.

Its only available in USA but some places here sell it, if you see some try it. YUM YUM

Coke changed the recipe and then due to a public outcry changed the recipe back again. So normal coke is the same as it always was.

Yeap Wing Yip are a chain.

My old C&C charges £3.95 for a case of 24 cans works out at just over 16p a can. That was in Croydon, just off the Purley Way!

Why do you think they have "Classic" in the USA , its because its the old recipie, any yes there was outcry and that was in USA.

I can't help any more than what has already been said, but I wonder if anyone can help me?
I'm trying to find somewhere in the UK that sells Mountain Dew. I loved this stuff when I was in the States, but I can't find it any where over here, I don't even think you can get it officially in the UK. If anybody has any information about an importer or a place that sells this stuff, please post here or even email me. :)

I need my DEW! ;):p

Thanks for any help.

They're out of stock at the moment, but Cyber Candy (http://www.cybercandy.co.uk) usually sells it. :)

Thanks for that link Mark! Never heard of that shop before, but it does seem to have some cool stuff. I'll probably check back when it's in stock again... but £25 for 24 cans seems a little steep though...

Nobody happens to know anywhere that's in stock and perhaps a little cheaper do they? ;)

Thanks again Mark.

Not online but.... :D Kwik Save are currently selling 6 pks of pepsi for 97p so at about 16p a can thats a pretty good deal. My bf lives on the stuff and I usually buy Tesco's own 12pk for £1.99 which seems to keep him happy so can't taste that bad cause he's a fussy bleeder ;)

If your mate doesn't mind about the Coke vs Pepsi thing, Farmfoods appear to be doing stupid offers on Pepsi.

I just bought 5 cans for a pound in my local Farmfoods. They're also doing the offer on the 500ml bottles 3 for a pound. 20p a can or 33p a bottle isn't bad...

At the checkout I asked whether this was limited per customer, and the girl said no. She'd had a guy in earlier buying a case of the 500ml bottles.

Don't know if this is a nationwide thing or not, but tomorrow I'm getting a case...

EDIT: cat - 6 cans for 97p!!! I don't think I'll be getting that case from Farmfoods then...

Just had the latest Safeway deals leaflet through the door and from Wed 13/03 thru to Tues 19/03 they are doing 12 cans of Coca-Cola for £1.99.

Limit is 3 per customer per visit (not that that's stopped anyone loading shopping in car and going straight back in!).

16p odd per can seems nice and cheap what with the summer coming up. :D

It certainly used to be available over here and was made by Britivic who also produce Pepsi. Might be worth a call to them to see if it's still available here. Can't recall seeing it in my local Safeway for a while.

EDIT - Just had a look at their site and it's not listed as one of their brands. Careline number is 0845 300 5611 or email them - enquiries@britvic.co.uk

8-] - Safeway offers are regional so the cheap Coke packs may not be available in your local store at the moment.

Hope that helps.

Okey dokey.

All I can do, is go to my local Safeway and see if it has the offer.

The UK stuff wasn't the same anyway -- I can't vouch for the taste but it didn't have the same level of caffeine. http://caffeinated.cc/ sell 24x350ml cans of the good stuff for £24.99 -- shipping is £2.99 per order. However it looks like they're out of stock -- if you're desperate though, you could try their £25.99 drinks selection (http://www.cybercandy.co.uk/aasmt/?url=pmet2&xdbc=25&dbtc=1) which gets you 25 bottles & cans of various drinks, including 4xMountain Dew and 2xDiet Mountain Dew.

I fail to see why you needed to bump up this thread from over two years ago and I see little reason to keep it open.
