View Full Version : Mortgage - How long with offer last ?
I'm looking to re mortgage and have seen an offer I like.
If I successfully apply how long is the offer likely to be kept on the table for ?

Varies from lender to lender but it's usually 3-6 months.
However, there's usually a clause saying something like, 'reserve the right to withdraw the offer at any time'
I've just applied with First Direct and they give you 5 working days to book the offer and then have 6 month to drawdown.
Many thanks to both if you.
It's a actually First Direct I'm thinking of applying with.

I'm interested in First Direct ATM.
How's the application process? I heard you had to wait months for a callback earlier in the year.
I bank with them and HSBC so they had all my details and incomings/outgoings on record plus my existing mortgage is with HSBC. Called them and spent an hour taking about 2 of the offers I was interested in. Couple days later I got it agreed in principle, sent it back and another couple days later they sent a text saying they are arranging the valuation survey, pretty painless so far but still early days.
FD seem pretty quick, we moved ours them about a month back.
I was already a customer so got an interview straight away, ive heard new customers can take a week+ for a callback
I phoned them last Monday and mortgage was agreed in principle over the phone.
They offer is open for 6 months.
