since i have never seen this film before (but have always wanted) do you have any idea if it would be worth investing in the R1 for it's DTS soundtrack ?

As the film is quite old does the DTS soundtrack make a difference to it ?

Since im going to get the film for the first time i want to make sure that i get the best version possible.

in my opinion, the DTS mix isn't much different to be honest, and so I'd stick with the 5.1 unless the R1 is easily available.
