View Full Version : Oh Brother!
Oh Brother Where Art Thou? This is a superb movie, which I bought when it was first released on DVD last year.
Then a 2-disc set came out a few weeks ago with a whole lot more extras and is selling for less than what I paid for the original release!
A similar thing happened with Quills. Again I bought this only to discover a few weeks later a newer release with Extra Features.
This is really starting to **** me off. Why can't they just do it right, once!
These distributors are taking us all for a ride. At least when you buy a music CD you know what you're getting up front.
Any ideas?

Sometimes you can tell whether this is going to happen if you listen up for any forthcoming releases. Meanwhile you could sell your old stuff on Ebay.
Sometimes you can't tell.
I disagree about the CDs. How many times do i buy a CD only to find a Special UK Edition on the shelves weeks or months later. Now that ****** me off!!!!!!.
If you look around most DVD sites you can normally see when new SE are due. Although i do admit they did pull a fast one with Oh Brother. That SE did come out pretty quick and they still didn't put DTS on it the second time round!!!!

I share your irritation but what you say about CDs isn't strictly true!
/pedant mode on/
For the respective years they were released both The Corrs "Talk on corners" and Dido's "No Angel" were the best selling albums in the UK. How did they manage this?
By being re-issued several times with bonus/hidden tracks and multimedia content!
/pendant mode off/;)
Edit: beaten to it EVERY TIME!!!!!!!! I need to learn to type faster!

That's what I try to do. With Oh Brother I sold the original single disk version on ebay for more than I paid for the 2-disc!
