Good singles. Can anyone recommend the album?

If you like the singles you'll like the album. I believe Mr barlow has love for it.
I think it's OK but in small doses.

You're breaking my heart, John.

I've read that & other reviews. I'm trying to get the opinion of the great unwashed. :D
If I hadn't already heard them, the comparison to The Ting Tings would have put me off. :p
I think the album's on Spotify so will try & grab a listen when I get a chance. Them, The National, School of Seven Bells & Warpaint are what I want to catch up on.

It's a fantastic album, but slightly syrupy. One of the loudest records I have heard I think. Will be up there in my end of year lists.

I like that kind of contrast in music - something really heavy with a sweet vocal usually works well.

I meant more that it is best in small bursts, as Mr Maj put it. It's addictive as hell in the short term, but not as long-term satisfying as it should be.
I agree with everything said so far. I love the album and it's amazing at first but I've listened to it less and less over the months.
Going to see them at Thekla in Bristol next Monday so will be listening again this week.
It's awesome.
I bought it on a whim and a recommendation and couldn't get it off the ipod playlist for weeks, for a debut album I can't wait for more.

A lot of albums that are all about three minute pop songs are like that, though. (I'm assuming it fits the description.)

Having a listen to this on Spotify. Will probably buy.
Been listening to this for a week now and can honestly say that I can't tell if this is the best thing or the worst thing I've heard all year.
Must listen some more.

If this is the worst thing you've heard all year, you're very lucky. :D
I like it; instantly hooky and makes a nice racket. Proper crunchy beats and guitars. I can see why it probably won't have longevity, though.
Now I need to listen to Roots Manuva, the National, School of 7 Bells and Warpaint on Spotify to see if any of them are worth buying.

How can a record you have been listening to for a week be the 'worst thing ever' anyway?
Johnny Vodka

To be fair, he said it's the worst thing he's heard all year, not the worst thing he's heard ever.
There's something to be said for marmite music that takes a while for you to decide personally whether you love or hate it.

If you don't like something after a week of listening to it then it's probably not for you. **** me you could have an argument in an empty room.

Roots = Not heard.
School of 7 bells = More of the same but not quite as good.
National = Excellent but takes a couple of plays.
Warpaint = nah. (try beach house instead.)

I started listening to The National, but it didn't grab me right away. Will listen some more.
I loved the Beach House single, so will have a listen.
Roots Manuva's album is meant to be a cracking dubbed up affair.
