View Full Version : Special Reserve
Anyone used Special Reserve (http://special.reserve.co.uk) before? Are they any good?
I used them a while back.
They can be a bit expensive, and a bit slow to deliver even with the fast option.
It took them about a month to replace a faulty printer.
But when everything goes smoothly they aren't too bad.

they are good not always the cheapest but CS is pretty good
Had a look on there site and most DVD's appear to be at SRP so not much point in using them. May as well use a high-street store.

I remember they took about 4 months to deliver Secret of Monkey Island for my Atari ST, but they might have improved since then. ;)
Well known and respected company.
They also have shops so if anything goes wrong just pop in with a base ball bat. :D
I've used them for 12 years with no problems, but recently I've found Gameplay were cheaper for the games I was buying
I have been using them on and off since my Amiga 500 days, they used to be cheaper and the customer service is excellent.

You can probably find EVERYTHING they sell cheaper elsewhere if you look on the Internet.
Its the pre-order of the game cube i'm interested in - best price i can find anywhere

Way to dig up an old thread!
Whenever i've used them, which isn't alot, delivery times have been fine, 2-4 days, this was ordering by phone, so i dont know about web ordering.

I used them a few years ago for a printer and Star Wars Supremacy for the PC. No problems that i can remember although times have changed!

Ordered a few things off them in the back end of last year and things went smoothly each time.
Bought a divx player from them 3 weeks ago - delivery was spot on

The items i'm looking at though aren't major hardware. They're just games, so perhaps with being smaller & cheaper goods, the delivery time may be long one?
