Just played the new Satch CD. Like most of his fans it seems, I love all his early out put and through to Crystal Planet. But then it all got a bit meh and bland. Indeed the last two albums he put out (ignoring Chickenfoot) are just tedious to be frank and havent been played at all much by me!

So a bit of trepidation about this new one...

But initial thoughts are actually very good. This is MUCH better with several really killer tracks. Anyone else picked it up?

Yep - heard the album and it has elements of Crystal Planet, some of the Strange Beautiful Music... and some close to his older stuff. Agree about his last 2 albums being "meh" - his last live DVD was aweful too.
My signed copy is still winging it's way over from America.

yep, and is very good imo, not had much of a chance to listen to it properly yet due to Ryder cup but Dream Song & The Golden Room really stood out

Pyrrhic Victoria is really doing the business for me at the moment...

been listening for a few hours now, wasn't sure about the funky keyboard stuff on some of the tracks :suspect: but it's really growing on me, much better than prof satchithingamy

Thanks for the heads up about this, not listened to any Satriani in a long time. Really enjoying it.
