TV problem

I wonder if anyone knows what this TV problem is.

When I'm watching TV or playing a DVD, there are sometimes small diagonal lines that appear at the edges of objects, especially colours like red.

I think it's a TV problem.

Any ideas?

Sounds like 'bleeding' where strong colours such as red, green and white 'leak' out from the objects of that colour. It is replicable on other TVs, by setting the colour very high. Could be that the settings need a tweak or that the cabling from the source is poor. It could also be that the TV is faulty or dying.

I'm fidding around with the picture controls now, to see if I can get rid of it.

Are you using a reasonable spec shielded cable between the TV and the source?
