I'm after some headphones. I've been looking online and there seems to be such a large variety of style makes and a massive difference in prices i'm not really sure what will be best for me so i'm throwing it out to the forums for some advice.

They are mainly going to be used for movies/music and games on the train.

Requirements in order of importance.

No more than about £50

Must be comfortable and not inner ear-type (just done find them comfortable at all (tiny ears))

Not too bulky as going to be going to be commuting with them.

Because of commuting should ideally keep outside noise out and inside noise in as much as possible.

Cheers

sennheiser px200. They are light and closed back so you won't upset other commuters.

I wasn't sure about the in-ear ones but I bought pair of Shure ones (expensive ones I'll grant you) but they come with a selection of different in ear plugs so you find to fit most ears.

The great thing with in-ear ones is that a) they cut out virtually all the noise around you and b) because of that you don't need the volume very high.

Actually i did have PX200's a while ago. I found them really flimsy and they pretty much just fell apart in the end.

Although i did get them quite cheap from ebay and even though they looked fine perhaps they were fake ones? They did come with a fabric case not a proper box...

There quite alot of pairs of Senheiser HD-25 SPs on Ebay which are great if not as good as the more powerful HD-25s. These are used by all types of professionals from TV sound guys to sports commentators and drummers. They do block out outside noise quite well and they should'nt leak sound out. I have seen some of these go for under £50 on Ebay. If you can find the more expensive model HD-25 good luck. I used these for DJing for years and they are so strong I'm still on the same pair 13 years later. Maybe worth the extra £ if you know they will last and they sound amazing.
