I really like the look of the Tosh picture frame tellys but I don't want one with surround sound. So, is there any 32" widesceen Nicam tellys that are as neat as the Toshiba. The thing that is stopping me buying at the moment is the width and the depth of most Widesceen TV's. Most of them are so damn big and ugly.

I only know of the Tosh 32" Picture frame TV which IS nicam as well as surround sound - you don't have to have the speakers connected and a switch at the back puts all the sound through the front centre speakers only.

You may wish to hold off for a while. Apparently Philips are working on some new sets that are likely to be in a sleeker style. They are also gonna have better picture resolution technology apparently.

Thanks for the tips. So do you need to use the standard stand to get nicam sound ? I would be intending putting it on a new stand. It looks like the speakers are built into the stand and I would need nicam sound for when I don't have everything turned on.

There's not much you can do about the size of widescreen TVs. My 32" Sony weighs nearly 75Kgs and is quite deep.

I think the Toshiba, Sony and Philips and the best looking TVs at the moment but you need to ensure the speakers and on the TV itself. I only use the TVs speakers for normal TV viewing, they are muted for DD/DTS.

The speakers aren't integrated into the stand in the Toshiba - it just looks that way.

... but the TV does look kinda funny with two chunks in the bottom corners "missing"
