After over twenty years of being a TSB then Lloyds TSB I have had enough and want to move banks.

I am thinking of moving to the COOP bank various reasons which do not need discussing here.

Has anyone had experience of using the moving service to the COOP bank, how did it go concerning them moving all your direct debits and standing orders?

How long in reality did the move take? I presume the best time to start the move is straight after payday?

Cheers.

I moved to Smile a good few years ago and the transfer of everything was painless. The only problem we had was with the council tax - they tried to take from the old closed account despite being given 3 months notice of the change. It was all set up with Smile, and even the council had no idea why they'd ignored the request as it was all on file.

And top tips, if you register your co-op account (or sign up to one if you haven't already), you'll get a share of the profits the co-op get from your bank account
