Image ghosting on cheap DVD player...

My brother is selling a Oritron DVD 600, so I have borrowed it off him to test it out before buying. The first thing I noticed on R1 Gladiator is the ghosting on the picture, it is like the TV isn't tuned in properly when watching BBC or something. It is connected to the TV using a IXIOS (sp?) scart, so there shouldn't be any cable problems, in fact the cable probably cost more than the player :D

How much are you looking to spend on a player?

In my humble opinion its better to spend a little more now, there are some pretty good players at under £200 and you should get the benefit of DTS as it will really help your enjoyment and satisfaction in the long run.

Well I was going to offer him £40, I am using a PS2 at the moment but really wanted to move that out of the living room.

you should get the benefit of DTS

This player has DTS, unfortanetly my amp does not.
