Is R1 Final Fantasy RCE ? Its not on the DVDcompare list but comes up with a region screen on my techtronics modded Pioneer 525. IS there a way I can get round this ?

Disc 1 is RCE, but disc 2 isn't.

I have no idea of a workaround I'm sorry.

Doubt there's anything that can be done other than getting your player chipped (if it hasn't already) but I've changed the title and I'll move it along to DVD & Home Cinema Hardware Forum and someone might be able to help you there :)

Sorted it. Posted in the Film bit as I wanted to check that the disc was RCE.

My player is hardware chipped already which was why I was confused that it would not work.

For those interested, the work around was to manually set the player to R1, play an R1 non RCE disc and then the RCE disc will play. Manually changeing the region and straight away trying an RCE disc won't work for some reason

Ooops, I could have told you that as I had to that with both of my Pioneers. Must have slipped my mind as my finger passed over the Move Thread button. :D

I've got a modded 530 - how do you change regions manually? I didn't get any instructions with it.

Press setup
Go to far right menu tab and highlight 'Basic'
Press display - gives current region set
press 'condition / memory'
press region number
press display to check its changed
press setup to exit
