Please kill off Celia. Please.
Hopefully will spark some new life into it, having them on the run after a rather dreary 5th season.
Still quality stuff though.

Please kill off Celia. Please.
Celia is gone. She is not in this season at all.

It took me an absolute age to get through season 4, so I just gave up after that. I'm not sure I have the will to get through the fifth one! It was a much better show when they were back in suburbia, it felt a lot more 'real' then... now it's just, well... a bit silly.
Looks as if they have taken a new direction, thank god. No more Celia? Praise Jesus!

 Goodbye cancer ****
I quite liked Celia in her own venomous way. I though her relationship between her and her daughter was tragic yet full of black humour, especially when she spent a bit of time inside.
Looking forward to this though, if they can get away from the whole Mexican mafia plot, which I think has dominated the past two seasons too much, and get back to old school Weeds story telling then all the better. Oh and give Doug and Andy more screen time.

I'm hoping for better too, but judging from the trailer it will still be crazeee running from the mexican mob antics.
I think the writers have painted themselves in a corner with it really, as the family can hardly settle down in the near future now, plus some of the characters are really starting to become extremely unlikeable, like Shane and to a lesser extent Nancy who are both becoming arrogant know-it-all *******.
We need more Andy, Doug and Dean.
Nancy became the most unlikeable and one of the most selfish and obnoxious women on tv last year and yet we're still suppossed to root for her!
Can someone remind me about Celia's last moments in Season 5. She was selling some crap cosmetics as a cover for weed but then what happened?
Her daughter was a great character, is she going to be back along with Dean?
All I really remember about last season is that ending (as with all Weeds finale endings it was damn good) but also that the whole season was a bit of a slog with lots of extraneous characters who added nothing much.
I hope season 6 will be more "fun" like the old days.

Alanis Morrisette is back too, though she was quite a decent character.
I've had enough of the whole Mexican kingpin storyline now. I want them to wrap it up as quickly as possible, but since Nancy's preggers with his kid, I doubt I'm going to get my wish.

So Nancy on the run again, nothing stand out funny about this although Shane seems to do a very good job of looking a little psycho.
And Alamis Morrisette is rather nice looking in this.
haven't really enjoyed this since they left suburbia, but thought first ep of this season was not bad at all.
Decent opener. No big laughs but plenty of chuckles, with Psycho Shane being the highlight.
Yeah, I'm enjoying this much more than last year so far (2 episodes in). Hopefully this "move" will reinvigorate the show. Keeping Esteban on their tail is a good move too as it'll add some weight (and hopefully suspense and consequence) to their plight.
I'm sad to say that I have decided to drop this show now. There was a point in the first episode where Sylus has the option to go his own way or stick with the family, I was really hoping he would get out that car. There was really no reason for him to stay, his mother has definitely done more harm than good over the years and he is probably the only one in the family that is not a total screw up and doesn't need to rely on the worst mother in the world, and yet he stays.
Nancy just gets worse and worse each season and I strongly dislike her. No one appears to learn from their mistakes and instead of getting better, they get worse.

She looks hot in that maid outfit though

I agree about Sylas Saber but it must be incredibly hard for a teenager to walk out on his family and start off with nothing on his own.
Nancy really is a terrible influence. Just look at Shane.

It would be hard for any teenager to do that which is why I thought he stayed, some folks stick together no matter how bad they are toward each other.
As for Nancy while she has turned into a dispicable person and parent I thought her charcter is probably more truer to life then you first think, she has never really had real trouble with law, never been to prison and always seems to just get away by the skin of her teeth. I guess any real drug dealer would just keep carrying on if there were in that situation.
I am finding this season quite funny in an increasingly surreal way. The stuff in the hotel is pretty funny although it's really stretching any possible believability (but when you consider that they previously had a tunnel from a shop to Mexico I guess anything goes)!
Getting Silas out of his clothes is always good though! :D

I have to say, Silas is a beautiful man, he could probably turn me. Till then... there are the naked college girls which he is going to work his way through
I'm liking this season. Doug with the mobsters is comedy gold. The tramp encounter particularly. Also the Ratatouille story line with Andy is very cartoonish, but funny.
Great episode this week! Manic chaos! :D
Certainly enjoying this season more than the last one.
Also, a seventh season has been greenlit.

Yes great episode. The s really hit the f at the end.
Naked Andy + baby = TV Comedy-Gold moment of 2010 so far. :notworthy
WTF just happened? Just like that?

Yeah that wasn't handled very well. Abrupt. "Good luck with your crime"
On the other hand.... looks like they are starting fresh.

I'm liking this series. There is something wrong with it, it's lost any depth it had left... but it's still pretty funny. Zack Morris got a good piece of Nancy this week.. not seen him on tv in a while.
Yeah, still enjoying it despite it as it moves into Road-Trip Mode.
...and a big :n0rty: for MLP getting all horny & naked for us to enjoy. :D
What a daft ending to the season.
And Silas, I can't.

I have to say I did enjoy this series it went back to being funny. Anyone know if there is going to be another season?
Yes there is although this one seemed to end as if they thought it was the last, with a Jenji Kohan cameo and everyfink! It looks like Season 7 will be the last as Kohan said (in an interview with TV Guide)
"In my mind, it is [ending next year]. Everyone's contract is up next year, [including] the actors and mine. Seven years is a good run, and I'd rather leave while on top. I'd never say never, but I have a feeling this might be it."
Think I'd have to disagree about the going out on top bit, that would've been at the end of Season 3.

Which one was Jenji Kohan? I've never seen him before.
Her! ;)
She just walked past the camera in the airport. I know, big whoop! :D

Have they done a freeze-frame ending before? It had a very "final episode" to it, even though they do have another season planned. Though it would have left the story unresolved anyway, mind you might be difficult to get characters together since they're now spread across the globe!

I liked the final episode more than the few that preceded it. The build up and the final twist were great.

Finally got around to seeing s6. Way better than s5. Found the ending oddly affecting, especially when Shane copped Nancy wasnt getting on the plane. He turned into a great actor over the course of the show.
Hope that thats the end of Doug too. What an annoying ****.
