I am one of the few who really liked it- good cast, good music(if you like Elvis) and Courtney Cox- OH SIR!
I think you should check it out.

And I am one of the many who thought it was a miserable effort of a movie!

Just dismal in every department bar Courteney Cox - for gods sake Ice-T was in it!!! :D

It was no great shakes, but it wasn't bad either... the bottom line is that it's an above-average action film with pretty good performances and a seen-it-before effects brief.
*Don't expect the shootouts to match Face/Off or the chases to match The Rock or the whole thing to be as whacked out as Con-Air.
*Do expect some big sideys and the first watchable Kevin Costner performance since Tin Cup.

Your loss my friend! I thought this film was excellent! Really good soundtrack (and I'm not really an Elvis fan!), great effects, some great cinematography, the characters are ace (ESPECIALLY ICE T's character, who is only in it for about 5 minutes sadly), and the story does have a few slight twists in it, if you don't pre-guess what is going to happen.

If it's cheap, then you might has well check it out yourself and decide, you could always trade it later.

Everyone one I know who's seen it really liked it.
Decide for yourself.

If you like action films filled with guns, then you'll like it.

Damn good film imho :)

Then again I've had a few heated arguements recently with mates who disagree with me passionately about it.

If you like a good no brainer action film and can stand Kurt Russell then its a must buy :)

Is this film ever getting released in the UK? I'd watch Kurt Russell in anything and would have said the same about Costner and Christian Slater 10 years ago.

Where was the violence???

This thread is like when someone like Everton go to the FA Cup Final, their supporters come out of the woodwork to shout out their allegience!

The film had no plot, wooden performances, a stupid little kid, Kevin Pollak looking a complete idiot for the whole film, a director who so would love to be John Woo's protege but sadly won't ever be and bloody ICE-T - how can anyone champion a movie with mr B-Movie himself!

Oh, did I mention its utter crap? :brickwall

Starts off well, then just rambles on and on, plot twists come out of nowhere and don't sit well with the characters we're seeing. Nonsense. Gunfights were ok, though it wasn't as violent as I'd heard. I'd give it a 4/10 or so.

This is one of the most stylish movies I have seen in years.
Costner, Russell and Cox are all outstanding.

The only weak spot in the film is Ice T but even someone of his pitifully low talent can't spoil the film in about 2 mins on screen!

Many people do not appreciate this film - I fail to see why.

Ice T doesn't spoil it he adds good old humour to the mix I wet myself with the upside down 360 degree shooting.

The fact that Costner actually pulls it off makes it a collectors piece as a limited edition. Kurt Russell once again hams it up a la "Big Trouble" and well Courtney what can you say that hasn't already been said.

The soundtrack is great with many varied styles of music (don't expect a lot of Elvis!!!) and picture quality is also excellent Imho.

This is a film that does not take itself seriously and at the price you can pick it up for why not?

The common opinion is that 3000 MTG is utter ******** just like Everton - but when a couple of people come out to support this pile of crap, suddenly other supporters come out - just like when rubbish such as Everton get to a cup final

That is my analogy with 3000 MTG compared to Everton FC
