Cah, just as I was about to jump in to grab a Marantz 4200 before the price hike, I discovered they don't have phono inputs, which I'm going to need.

So, it's back to searching for me.

Basically, I'm looking for a good all-round amp/receiver with the balance being, say, 60/40 for music/dvd. And of course, it needs to have phono inputs.

Price range is < £350 is possible.

Thanks for any advice!

Erm,basically all the amps at that price level have phono inputs.Do you mean an internal phono stage by any chance?

Oops, sorry, should have been more specific...

I mean with a built-in pre-amp to connect a turntable to the amp.

Failing that, what sort of price would I be looking at for a separate pre-amp to put between the turntable and amp? Then I could just connect it to the aux inputs, yes?

You can get a Nad phono pre-amp from hifibitzhere (http://www.hifibitz.co.uk/warehouse/details.asp?ProductID=NADPP1) for £35. It has a power supply so you'll need a spare plug socket and you're right, just plug your Turntable outputs into the pre-amp and the pre-amp outputs into one of the amps inputs.
