View Full Version : Pioneer 545 and Chasing Amy DVD
I recently bought a Pioneer 545 and the R1 Chasing Amy Criterion disc. When I put the disc in though, nothing comes up other than 'SEARCH' on the display. None of the buttons on the player or remote do anything. The player has no problems playing any of my other discs. Does this mean it's a dodgy disc or is this some sort of known problem?
Cheers, Khai.

Try the disc on another player, if possible.
It will let you know if it's a disc or a player problem.
I've tried it on my PC and it works fine with Power DVD. I'm guessing a PC is probably more tolerant of dodgy discs than a standalone player though. I'll try it in another player and will post what I find.

Same thing happens to my panasonic but it works on my PS2 and PC.

Disc has known problems on quite a few players :( Never mentioned on forums any more as quite an old disc now...

For what it's worth, my Criterion Chasing Amy works fine with my 545.

Cheers Stu, I think I'll get it exchanged then.
