Remember late last year when there was talkof no less than a Deer Hunter R2 DVD Boxset being released on the 25th March. Well that idea has been taken out back and shot. Deer Hunter is out on R2 on March 25th complete with trailer and 20 photo-photo gallery. I'll stick with my R1 tahnk you- worse sound or not. Lousy gip...:mad:

is the print any better on the R2 than the R1?, the R1 I had annoyed the hell out of me with scratches all over it!

The UK R2 although low on extras will be easily the best version, why? -

1. Region 1 - Non Anamorphic, lousy picture
2. Region 4 - Anamorphic, lousy picture
3. UK Region 2 DD5.1 (OK, I know it's re-mix)

Apparently the R2 is 2.0 not 5.1 at all. Does this mean it's the same transfer as R4 ?

I watched the R4 disc last night and thought that it wasn't too bad for about £8.50 delivered.
