My Wharfedale 750S is listed on DVD Times as having audio dropouts on dts tracks.

T2 (R1) and CE3K (R2) dts play fine with no sound dropouts whatsover. Does anyone know what bitrate these dts tracks have? I think my player only suffers with a certain type of dts track. Problem dts disks include: Gladiator (R2), Chicken Run (R2), Cast Away (R1). What about these bitrates?

Is there a way to find out what bitrate a dts track on a DVD has? does a website list them?

Some players have this information others (like the wharfy) don't

FWIW all my dropouts on the wharfy 750S appear to be from heating issues.

Putting the player in a cooler area has allowed each disk to play faultlessly. Not the last word however, just anecdotal.

If you want to check individual DTS bitrates then check this sucka out:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bwescombe/dts_dvd.htm

Lists every DVD equipped with DTS and its bitrate

I had several 750S models; some had audio dropouts on DTS tracks, a couple didn't. Pot luck I guess.

Thought I'd left all that behind with the LG3350E (which I've had for over a year now); however, got Tombstone Vista Series recently, and guess what happened on the DTS track..?

My Toshiba sd210 displays this at the touch of a button.I realise this doesn't help you but it may be of interest to someone looking for a player.
