I have a friend who continues to use them despite their Customer Service being shockingly bad.
To sum it up, you get no aftersales care at all.
If you buy parts and they all work perfectly then everything is fine, but get a duff piece of hardware or have compatability problems and they dont want to know.

I know a guy who works (or worked) there - his advice to me was :

"do not touch them with a bargepole - no matter how desparate you need something, no matter how cheap it seems - do NOT buy from them"

I ordered from them a while ago, they took my money straight away, over a month later I had nothing to show for it, so I cancelled, after another month of trying I had to get a refund from my CC.

In short, like everyone else has already said, give them a miss.

Try these instead:
DABS (http://www.dabs.com)
Novatech (http://www.novatech.co.uk)

Oh my god how intransigent are they!

I place an order yesterday on their web site for nearly £300 using my CC.

Got a reply to say that order was okay.

Then later on got an e-mail to say that their was a problem with my address. Also that they wanted me to send a copy of my credit card statement by fax or e-mail (obviously with the relevant bits blacked out).

Logged on to my account on their web site to see that their site had incorrectly stored my post code.

Aria CS was not available at this time (7pm last night) so I called my CC help line. They said under no circumstances give them my details. They said get the retailer to call them to resolve this.

I e-mailed Aria back to say what the bank said.

Got a reply this morning from a web assistant to say that I had to do Aria say.

Called Aria thinking that they may be more reasonable. I asked them to call my issuer as they had say do that. Aria refused stating I needed to do what they say because of CC fraud.

In exasperation I cancelled the order.

So where's the best place to order a Shuttle and components from? One with good CS please?

:)

I live locally to Aria, and have to say that the instore experience is completely different. The staff are friendly, helpful and fairly knowledgable - I've been loads of the times, and have had on occasion needed to return a couple of items. Returns are handled on the spot, and I've never had one turned down (even after I managed to nuke an Athlon through wrongly fitting the fan :norty:) - with an immediate refund or exchange. I've also regularly used their offer of suggesting items for the deal of the day page to get things I want discounted.

Make of it what you will, but I've been using them for years

The reason Iused them was 'cos my mate from Didbury said that they were great when he used them.

That was over the counter though.

I've never lost my temper over the 'phone before, but I came very close today ...

Far does to Aria they have refunded the full amount to my CC.

I thought they might forget to refund the £6(?) that they charge for Internet orders.

OTOH I bought a small item from bigpockets the same day and they were excelent.
