It's sad really, end of an era. There was a time when this forum would be full of BB related stuff in the run up to a new series! In the past I've really enjoyed having the laptop in the lounge (the only time in the whole year that I do that) and partake in the banter as the housemates enter the house. Admittedly, very shortly after I do lose interest.

This is past it's sell by date by several years now. Does anyone really care or really intend to watch?
They should've done an all-stars for the final series and had Jade's rotting corpse encased in a clear perspex, diamante encrusted dining table. As a statement on the show's format, reality tv in general and the state of Britain's "celebrity kultchure" it would've been like, powerful. Yeah.

I will watch it, it is synonymous with Summer for me, especially while I was a student, I would be up very late doing nothing whilst the live steam was on in the background, I find it oddly calming. It is an end of an era and I will miss it because it will leave a big chunk in my Summer.

I really hope they pick some intelligent housemates, I much prefer Big Brother when it works on a higher level than just some yobs bickering. I was a big fan of Freddie/Halfwit last year and I hope we have some similar breaths of fresh air on the show so it can go out on a high note instead of plumbing the depths.

The format is so dead, or at least the way Channel 4 are doing it. My sister works with Mo (the guy who kept sleeping and eating) who's given her an insider's view of the living in the house. Keeping the housemates bored in hopes they'll argue and fight is just making for boring viewing.

My favourite is John James at the moment, really disappointed that this series they couldn't have replicated the BB USA show more with head of house and open nominations, it could have really freshened up the show :(

haven't been watching this much, but i'm guessing the obvious couple in the house for magazine deals and such on the outside, currently, would be JJ and Rachel. Rachel probably thought this, and hadn't worked out yet how she would work round to that scenario, but probably thought it was a done deal. After last nights revelations from JJ, she's probably raging now that there isn't going to be any immediate chance of being involved in a BB romance.

A couple of times I've seen her on screen and thought "who's that?!"

I didn't take to JJ at first because all he did was look at people and frown but I think he's going to be an interesting character. He knows how to read and play people.

Then Ify started on Ben too, hoping her part in the matter would take away from the school girl antics of yesterday.

Awful treatment of ben and JJ last night. There ify was asking WHY someone would say something like that "Because it's true" says ben but no one asks by GOVAN would go straight from hearing one piece of news to tell the others...

There should be a task, Govan gets gagged and put in a cloth sack, the house mates have to kick it until they hear five or six cracking sounds... or until liquid pours out..

I thought that Shabby's task with Ben last night would lead to something horrible, but it was quite lovely to watch as it made Ben feel much better. I did laugh at the slow menacing zoom-in onto the chest of drawers at the end :) that was well done.

Has anyone else noticed that they've been slowly introducing some of the US BigBro elements to this season. We now have the nominated housemates competing with each other to get off the chopping-block & during the eviction show, the other housemates have recorded goodbye messages to be played to the evictee.

I thought the task involving ben was horrendously hard to watch because he was obviously making and effort and even with the task it was obvious Shabby despised him...

Gazing past him as he spoke... also notice how flippin easily swayed the irish girl is? the moment she realised shabby was supposedly building bridges, she was by his side as well...

The whole task to save yourself from eviction is such a joke. It's obvious Big Brother will select the task depending on whether or not the person "they want to keep" is good at it - agility for the smaller more athletic ones, and logic orientated ones for the more intelligent. They do all those things when trying to get into the house, so it's obvious they have them all categorised. Shabby is false/annoying as hell, but she causes conflicts... which the show needs.
They've been doing similar things in previous seasons, but then they would 'punish' somebody by lifting another's eviction vote...

I watched the highlights show last night, first one I've seen this series, don't think i saw any or many from the last few series of non-celeb editions at all.
