View Full Version : Possible rear speakers (pics inside)

Hello Peeps!
I'm a HC newbie and in the process of investing in my 1st setup.

I'm after some advice:-
I had a pioneer stereo that died :( but i kep the speakers :D
I'd like to know if they would be OK to use as my rear speakers? (i've included pics)
The size of the speakers are Height 23cm, width 15 cm, depth 25cm.

The setup so far is Marantz sr5200 amp and 2 Misson 702e front speakers.

They look like they should be fine to me. The sound on the rears "might" be a little boomy and bassy, but other than that they should be more than sufficient. Best thing to do is try them out and see how they sound to you. If you have Star Wars Ep 1 put that on and listen as Star Wars gives the most active rear channel information I've heard on a DVD. :cool:
