what has this movie got to do with him? Er, what it actually says is "Quentin Tarantino's rolling thunder pictures presents......Chungking Express".
QT has set up his own distribution company to release films that he is a big fan of (mostly foreign art-house or exploitation films) both theatrically and on DVD.
Whatever you may think about him putting his own name on the cover, there's absolutely no doubt that it will bring the films to a wider audience, which can only be a good thing.

Well that doesnt mean his face & name has to be as big as the bloody movie itself, which Quentin had absolutely nothing to do with.
Im not sure just how big a HK cinema fan he is given some of the other release's he's been involved with.
He does like to steal, I mean borrow from them though.;)
The R1 release of Express is slightly cropped btw, in the same way MGMs release of Robocop was cropped.
The transfer is the best available though.
