Reports have come direct from Romero that he has indeed finished a rough script for a 4th dead film & has contacted Tom Savini to help work on it.
Anchor Bay is helping to produce it & on a sidenote, Savini is working on his own sequel to the Living Dead movies.

and before anyone says aint it cool cant be trusted, this information is available on George Romeros official website.
Hopefully this isnt old news I've just posted.
What with the spanking forthcoming editions on NOTLD & DOTD.................
If this is true, it would be great news. Day of the Dead, is IMO one of the most intelligent (and under-rated) horror movies ever made!
"Dusk of the Dead" just doesn't sound right though:)
D'oh !
Must read link first. Must read link first

Apparently, it's been shelved though, because the US studios only want to make "nice" films since September 11.

I very much doubt theres any truth in that.
Its not like this is gonna be a huge mainstream movie anyway.

Romero himself was quoted to saying that Hollywood only wants to make 'nice' films since Sept 11th.
Can't quite see the connection between the real life disaster and a low budget horror movie about Zombies.
But fingers crossed we'll get to see another 'Dead' movie.
( and after paying a fortune on those Anchor Bay special editions i feel like i've invested in the film....wonder if i can get on the credits as an executive producer? )

Has anyone got any colouring crayons ?. ;)
How about "Twilight of the Dead"? Romero and Savini back again? Great!
anyhew, Day of the Dead is such a superb film. I remember seeing it in a near deserted Odeon cinema many years ago. Ah, the days before computer FX: esp. the zombie on an operating table. Woof!
Boink!

I cant wait for this one it seems that all of the cult kind of horror classics are getting a re-surgence nowadays what with talks of a phantasm movie and now the romero zombies are coming back.
its a good time to be a horror geek
