Nice work by Jack to take out all the russians in one quick set of shooting :D Logan is up a creek without a paddle now it seems!
Jack tortures the main hitman to find who gave the order. Seems swallowing the SIM card was not his best idea though, Jack just guts him alive to get it  And Jack now knows Logan is involved
And what was with the fancy glass? Seems a waste of effort to me. Loads of product advertising this episode
Overall a slow start to the episode but a good finish.
Next week's looks good Jack kidnaps Logan!!!
Seems like Dana got off lightly compared to what Jack did to the Russian sniper

Blimey get a bit of dust on my sim and it stops working. Russian entrails not a problem apparently.
Top drawer stuff
Really whittling through them now, each death more gruesome than the last.
Logan me old mucker, the clock is ticking......

Good old Dana, she even pouts when she's dead. I like how NY taxis are completely soundproof in the front of the cab. You wouldn't want to hear about your customers' tendency to torture and kill people, would you?
Lightbulb moment as Chloe realises () that Jack is right (:eek:). Did she forget the last 5 seasons or something?
I want some of those CTU windows in my house.
Jack's buddy and/or the press bint are bound to end up dead shortly. That's how Jack rolls.
How stupid is Logan, contacting an assassin on his own phone? After all of the plotting and weaseling and being ultra-careful, he doesn't use an untraceable phone when calling killers?
I also want a sim card that is immune to stomach acid. I can't think why, but I'm assuming it'll come in handy at some point. Some pretty brutal stuff there. Lucky that Jack has a good knowledge of the body's anatomy. I'd probably have pulled out a lung or something.
Can't imagine things are going to go well for Logan now. Will we see the first ever Presidential execution by Bauer?
Bingo this week:

And so far:

Jack Bauer Kill Count (so far): 33
Number of times Jack has said "DAMN IT!" (so far): 15
Best moment: Jack hearing Logan's name at the end. Oh dear!
Overall rating: 8/10

Was thinking the same.
That, a few cheesy moments, and the reporter's whining aside, I felt like I enjoyed the last 15 minutes of that episode more than any other part of series 7 or 8.
Damnit!

There was a definite perimeter set up this episode. A 2 mile one around the department store by Jason (great bad guy name)

Meh those CTU windows must have been some crappy budget version. I've seen those LCD-opaquing windows for real a few times and they change from clear to opaque instantly at the flick of a switch, they don't change gradually like they're actually growing crystals across the surface like the 24 CGI editor obviously thinks they do.
I want to know how Logan's sidekick can just walk in to CTU and run it like he is, given he only walked in there an hour ago. That isn't even enough time to find out where the coffee machine and toilets are. Completely unrealistic :D. How did he even get a CTU badge to flash at the people in the shopping centre made in time :D. And since it was the CTU swat team, wouldn't they know who and how deadly Jack Bauer is already, from his previous exploits, not just today, but everything he's been in court for in previous seasons? If I was CTU swat team and was told to go and get Jack Bauer, while standing amongst six recently offed Russian spy bodies, I think it would be mutiny time! Sod that "Jason", I'm not going to my instant death, thanks very much!

Not to mention Pavel not setting a pin on his sim card! Usually you can set a phone pin and a sim card pin, so even if you put the sim in a different phone you need the pin to boot it up. Idiot.
Aww man that was some torture that guy had.
Did Milton get found hidden behind a panel in a CTU room?
This is getting gruesome. Jack lost control today, but regained it.
I have seen the endgame (well, guessed it) and it is Logan (and quite possibly lady prez if he works it out). Would be a pretty spectacular bookend to the series given Day one's plot.

There was a 3 hour deadline given till the peace treaty signing so she will definitely be involved in the last episode.

Blimey that torture scene was grim - Pavel (?) was a dedicated chap to withstand that. Some real Jack awesomeness in the Mall

Some serious Jacktion in this episode
Dammit that was one helluva torture scene, Jack was not getting the information from the Russian. But it did give it a really good try :notworthy
Logan is really up **** creek now that Jack has his number. Can't wait until next weeks episode.
Still no Aaron though :(
Maybe when Suvarov comes in, they might throw Aaron in, in the last episode, as a farewell thing..?
BTW, read the first 4 words of the spoiler above, glad I didn't read anymore - as a warning, it looks like a pretty big spoiler..

It's not a spoiler at all...just a small guess as to what's going to happen...
Must admit I found the torture scene quite uncomfortable to watch and I'm not usually squemish

Ah, ok, thought it was a spoiler. Will read it now then :p

heh, obviously funny, and I did take it as such, but having thought about it, it's because he wanted to flush out the russians.
Apologies if you remembered it - I forgot it for a while - there was a lot happening!
Slow to flipping great episode. I absolutely loved the set up for Logan's fall!! Even down to picking the right tie! That guy plays the part so well - [Pub Landlord] Look at his face! It's a picture!!! [/Pub Landlord]. It would be great to see Jack take him out and even better seeing what ninja-style methods Jack will employ actually getting to him.
Such a shame that you really need Jack to be undisguised for our viewing, I can just imagine the disguises he would use to avoid the facial recognition software....the Herr Bauer-Harold Lloyd glasses from earlier this season - or maybe even a Col Hannibal Smith Chinaman disguise!...or maybe even just a baseball cap would do the trick.

Another good episode this week, gotta love those nasty torture scenes!
Trailer for next week looks tasty too. Jack has obviously been playing "Army of Two" recently, judging by his choice of wardrobe.

Jack's been watching Pulp Fiction, he's gone all Marsellus Wallace, and went medieval with a blowtorch and a pair of pliers.

From that preview for next week it looks like Bauer is back to using a automatic rifle... so expect him to get pinned down for half the episode and kill nobody! He needs to realise that his pistol 'one shot one kill' move can't be beaten!
Also I can't see how Fat Tony can come into this from here on? (not that I'm bothered - he was pretty weak last season). Or Aaron for that matter, unless he's given the order to go after Jack!
Unlikely Tony is in it now but....
He could be brought out by the Prez as the only one who could take him down.
Seems unlikely..
Aaron could be brought in with some connection to suvarov, e.g. with Martha, perhaps.

Nah he's not in this series apparently.
Have totally loved the last few weeks - this week was as good as anything 24 has ever given us. I'm glad its going out on a high, but sad that it has to go out at all.
Interview with 24 producer.

I must be blind as a bat, I can't remember a single instance of product advertisement. But then, I wasn't actually looking for it.
Actually, thinking about it, the only think I can recall is that Sprint device that makes a private wifi hotspot in seconds!

I really can't believe how much this season has changed itself around. I now can't wait to see the new episode each week. That torture scene was vicious. Jack out for revenge is just the best move the writers ever came up with. And the President Logan voicemail was pure genius.
Logan is the best bad guy 24 has ever produced. Perfectly acted and when him and Jack inevitably come together it's going to be electric.

I thought they went too far with the torture to be honest.
Up until that point I thought it was the best thing for the last two seasons.
That trailer's spoiler-tastic though!
Sky viewers need to check their planner. Mine dropped the series link

Last night's episode was great! That torture scene was brutal, but exactly what was Jack doing to him? Most of it was off screen, for obvious reasons. I know he used the blow-torch, but what did he do before that? He seemed to be squirting something at him. :?:

It looked like he yanked chunks out of him with the pliers, then squirted some chemicals on the wound.
Add that to the waterboarding this season and they really have reached new lows.
The problem is that it desensitizes people - the next time Fox report some US transgression of the Bush era, it's going to be "The terrorist was questioned using techniques from hit Fox TV series 24".
