Strange thing just happened.

Played a DVD fine, then put a football DVD in straight after and after about 5 mins my DVD player started making loud vibrating noises? Checked everything around my equipment and nothing was rattling - was definitley the player.

What gives?

Never had this before. My player is an expensive one (Oppo 983) but the DVD is cheap and nasty. Its a poorly encoded best Premiership goals type thingy.

Could it be the DVD? Haven't watched it on this player before.

Thanks.

It is of course possible the DVD could be way out of balance.

Thank God!

Don't mind if the DVD is Wonky, was scared my player was!

What causes a DVD to be "out of balance".

Don't think so in this case. The first DVD I watched that played fine was off the same shelf. They haven't been near a radiator or enything.

Plus it seems a bit of a coincidence that the only disc it happens on was a cheapo one.

Could it have been manufactured poorly? I mean physically, obviously, not encoding wise.

Ahh. I Bet it's always done it it's just that I watched it last night about 4 in the morning with the sound very low, so it was more noticable.

Strangely though, it didn't do it in my xbox 360?

Weird.
