phone advice for an ignoramus

I haven’t changed my phone for about 4 years, I have a small black Samsung thing for £10-12/month with 100 minutes and 100 texts with T-Mobile (they annoyingly charge for calling voicemail though) I don’t particularly care about handsets but I have a feeling I could do better in terms of deals, don’t really need any more allowance than this.

Where is a good place to start looking for such things? Any cashback type deals that could bring me down to £5 a month? Don’t mind if I have to start over and change my number etc.

If you're happy with a basic phone, you might be better off going PAYG or one of the SIM only monthly contracts that most of the operators do now.
