Ok, I would GREATLY appreciate it if someone could tell me if the film starts with the following credit: Steven Spielberg presents

and can I just confirm that Spielberg takes an Executive Producer credit only?

It's all for an essay I'm doing, much kudos if you can help!

At the start of the film it says:

-> Universal logo
-> "Steven Spielberg presents"
-> "A Robert Zemeckis film"
->Back to The Future Logo

In the opening credits it says:

"Executive producers:

Steven Spielberg
Frank Marshall
Kathleen Kennedy"

Spielberg isn't mentioned at all in the closing credits.

I have all three films on VCD so just let me know if you want me to check anything else.

Just checked my VCD, and it does say "SS Presents", followed by "A Robert Zemeckis Film". Also, Spielberg is one of three executive producers. Could it be because the film is an "Amblin Entertainment" movie?

Edit: yeah - wot he said!! :rolleyes:

Brilliant! That's great.....I'm doing a Philosophy essay and it's all about identity statements.....basically how you could say:

Steven Spielberg is the director of Back to the Future

and still be meaningful. Basically even if you hold a false belief about a person, it doesn't affect the individual himself (Spielberg suddenly isn't Spielberg just because you hold a belief about him that turns out to be false).
