DVD player cleaner?

Hi
I have read that I can clean my DVD player myself simply by cleaning the lens with alcohol on a cotton bud, so can I use nail varnish remover? Or does it have to be a special type of alcohol?

Welcome to the forums.

IIRC, you need to use isopropyl alcohol which can generally be picked up in any chemist. Chances are your lens in probably knackered though.
