Hi all,
Is this possible? I have an 80GB iPod Classic and an iPhone but can't get this to work on either - is it just not supported, only available through direct iTunes playback?
Is there any way to burn a crossfaded CD instead? I have a playlist that my sister wants to play at a party and it sounds much better crossfaded.
TIA.

My Nano does crossfade tracks (but the damn thing doesn't often sync properly! ) but neither my Touch nor Ipod Classic do. Strange that Apple have done it on all (yet), as I prefer fading tracks.

A lot of searching online seems to indicate the same... dammit :-(
Thanks anyway!
If you wanted to create a single crossfaded mix which could then copied to your iPod (i.e. merge everything as a single track) you could probably use Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) which is free. Tracks would have to be DRM free, or re-ripped in a suitable DRM free format.
However, for those tasks I normally use Mixmeister (http://www.mixmeister.com/) as it's much more flexible. Tracks can be kept separate, merged to a single file or there is a burn to audio CD option - in the case of the latter, mixes would have be broken up in 74 minute or 80 minute chunks but there is no length limit otherwise.

Actually, I need something that will let me take a 70 min mp3 and burn to a cd, but put in track points, say every five mins. I have a few old Bill Hicks recordings that I want to put on cd for my cousin. Anyone know of anything free that will do this?
