[360] Fifa Season 6. Season Ends 10th May..

I've allocated teams as i don't have the time or motivation to manage a team picking excercise like last season. Players have been seeded based on their previous league positions.

The divisions aren't equal size, as i've tried to stick with the 3 up / 3 down philosophy. I've included any dropouts in the relagations which is why a couple of you haven't been relegated.

Rules

1. Matches are to be played on a home and away basis. I suggest these are played in the same session one after the other to keep the league moving at a decent pace.

2. The setting for the matches are :-

6 minute halves

3. The bottom 3 teams in the division will be relegated. The top 3 promoted.

4. If a player drops out of the league, his results will be removed from the records.

5. Disconnections - If the match disconnects:-

0 - 15 mins - restart with the scores reset
15 - 45 mins - restart with the scores of the 2 games combined.
45 - 70 mins - the 2nd half host restarts, with the game ending at half time. The scores of the 2 games are combined.
70 - 90 mins -The 2nd half hosts restarts a 5 minute game which will end at half time. The scores of the 2 games are added together.

6. Results should be posted in the thread as soon as possible after playing the matches. Post offical results in BOLD.

7. Any player who doesn't play within the published deadlines will be removed and banned from the following season. If a player gets removed in a second season, they will receive a lifetime ban.

8. Lag – If you experience lag in the first half of the match, you must disconnect within the first 10 minutes of playing time. Any goals scored in these 10 mins will not count, when the match is restarted.

9. Matches should be arranged in the season thread, so please check the thread regularly.

10. And most importantly.........NO BITCHING

15 match deadline - 3rd May 2010
Season End - 10th May 2010

IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED AT LEAST 7 MATCHES BY THE FIRST DEADLINE, YOU WILL BE REMOVED. NO WARNINGS.

ANYBODY ELSE WHO DOESN'T MEET THE DEADLINE MUST CATCH UP BY THE 2ND DEADLINE OR AGAIN, YOU WILL BE REMOVED

Oh right... I turn off all those updates - although I don't think you can with online random games.

Crespo was there for all my league games. There is an awesome winger sitting on the Genoa bench (I'll find out his name when I get home). Genoa have two class wingers and two class strikers. Defense is a little suspect though.

When i play online ranked i have no crespo but have suazo.

How do fix this so its unified , played a fair few ranked games getting used to one setup then played john kirk (friendlies) but had a diffrent striker upfront!

good end to end game, I was a bit thrown by playing with different players than I've been practising with, guess it doesn't update teams in unranked games?

Anyway Werder Bremen went ahead with a bit of a flukey goal in the 2nd minute when an early cross was taken on the chest my pizzaro who then (somehow) managed to out strength the defender, turn and volley in to the corner from 2 yards out! Ath Madrid looked dangerous and kept possesion well for prolonged periods until half time, having a few chances but generally stifled by my giant German defence!

2nd half it was all wrapped up after a tight through ball from Pizzaro put Almedia through to place the ball in the bottom corner to secure the 3 points. Cheers Cmg!

We should ALL be playing with updated squads, it isnt right that some of you will be playing with a team that may still have players that arent actually there anymore, or the other way round.

Alot of us will have downloaded the latest squad update, to make sure our teams squad and ratings are correct. I think everyone needs to do this to make it totally fair.

Perfect example with Genoa, Kalzinio has done the update so has Crespo, nils hasnt, so he does not?

It only takes 2 minutes to download the full squad update for the game. You may even end up with better players coming into your squad!

I will find out the exact way mate, but I know its 2 clicks from the main menu.

Basically when you play an online ranked match you automatically download and use the latest squad updates for the teams, so Man City wont have Robinho for example.

But offline, Man City will have Robinho unless you update squads manually which is just an option in the menu.

Another example is Juve lose quite alot of ratings because they are doing badly in the league, same for Athletico, whereas Chelsea get a boost, with Drogba being made into even more of a monster!

So when we played ranked games its just doing a temp updated squads but its not updating the squads overall.

Crespo went to Parma right ?? which is why hes not there (for Genoa) when i play ranked games but becuase i've not updated my game updated "offline" yet as such hes around when i play a friend via online :thinking:

Yeh cheers mate, well have some more, youdid pretty considering you had a weaker team. It was quite laggy though it spoiled t as its difficult to finish when its like that, it would have **** me off had it been a league game. Well have some more though it nice for people not to quit out.

I cant practice with Barca cause if they dont quit just because of the fact ive picked them then they quit soon as they go a goal or two down.

Yep - thats right... I don't bother with updating squads and have it turned off. You don't get that choice with online ranked games.

You're better off with Suazo anyway - As good as Crespo is, he is toooo slow in the game!

Instructions on how to update your squads:

Assuming auto-save is turned ON.

1. From the main menu select EDIT TEAMS>DOWNLOAD LATEST SQUADS
2. Go to TEAM MANAGEMENT click through to view the first team of any squad. Now back out.
3. You should see the saving-icon on the left of the screen pop up. The squads are now saved.

Stevie, can we enforce this for every player to do the above, so we all have accurate squads.

I've never updated the squads. Does it really make that much difference in the grand scheme of things. It's just a game.

You can't make this a rule, its unenforcable. Theres no way of telling if players have updated or not. At the end of the day the best players will win even if their opponent has a striker who a rating a couple of points higher than it would be with the update.

I remember when these leagues were about having a laugh, its become way too serious this past year, which is a shame.

Hi guys, anyone know how I can get around the 'EA servers are not available at this time' messages?

I've got his now quite a number of times lately and again this evening. Don't get it as XBOX Live connection is fine and rebooted both router and cable modem to no avail! I can see other people on Fifa 10 but can't join as I keep getting the above message. Seems to clear itself randomly and I've changed nothing settings wise. :(

Edit:

Went on the EA website and it told me to try changing my system clock/date to 15/11/2001 without being signed in to Live. I couldn't get any earlier than 2005 so changed it to that - signed back into Live and Fifa 10 and sure enough it let me sign into the EA servers. Bizarre! I only hope it keeps working!

No worries, were both good games and i was finding it hard to break through.
The Walcott goal was planned, i just didn't expect to be able to apply that finish with him, used to score loads like with Rooney on 09 by cutting in from the wing and curling to far post, sometimes hit row Z tho!!

Sorry your essage on xbox after I had switched off, replying on here as it would take e forever to reply via the box.

i afraid you are wrong as the gae disconected in the second half at around 55 ins we should only play one more half which we did i was leading 1 -0 before the disconnect and it was 1 -1 in the replied half. I left at half tie because by that point we had played around 100 minuntes and the are the rules. I disagree with your message taht we should have played andother half and then added to the 2-1 as that would have been 55 mins plus two full halves over one and a half games.

Steveies rules are pretty clear taht a second half disconnect means just paly another half unless it is after 70 ins then play the first half of 5 min game. Come on pal take it graciously they maybe the only games I win!;)

First game I was 3-0 and 4-1 up and at one point it was 4-3 and then nutski hit the post...thankfully for me managed to sneak home a few more to give the scoreline a flattering look.
Second game nutski took an early lead and defended really well, tho I equalised dead on half-time which seemed to give my team a lift. Second half Gomez was my man again getting his second successive hat-trick. Was pretty lucky to win this one in truth, nutski was pushing hard at 1-1.

The 1st game was a cracker - I was 4-1 up only for Nhojer to come back and at 4-3 I was thinking "cack!" but thankfully the ref didn't add much injury time on! Second game was much closer than the score suggests, with Nhojer pushing for an equaliser at 2-1, only for me to add two late on as he had to push forward for the goal. Good luck in your rest mate.

Thanks for the games mate, well played.

Scored first in the first game after a very tentative and tense start from both teams. Casillas was having an off day when he let Walcott's tight angled drive hit the near post, hit him and eventually squeeze past him! You then caught my defence twice more with some good passing moves and Van Persie finishing well. Got back with another but you scored again and Benzema couldn't quite finish near the end to try and ensue a tense end to the game.

Second game was like ping pong not only with the amount of rebounds of the balls between players but also the way I scored one and you'd come back with another. It was 2-1 when Casillas again dropped a clanger and didn't hold on only to palm to the waiting Van Persie to smash in. I can forgive him though as he did pull off some amazing saves in between the goal mouth scrambles in the first half! When I did manage to get the third I started to play a little better and anticipated your movement a bit more. When eventually the fourth went in I finally can breathe a sigh of relief and the fifth just capped off an altogether better display for me.

It was a great game and it could have gone either way especially when you kept equalising!

2 pretty even games, I scored a goal in the first that I didnt feel good about when bob threw the ball out to my man, I hit shoot as soon as it left is hands and went in the net. usually dont do that but suppose it happens every now and then.

To rub salt in Aimer hit a shot in the last minute that trickled past the keepers despairing dive to win me the game.

2nd game I played much better, a pro foul with 30 mins left gave me a good chance but couldnt convert my chances. Could have lost though with bob hitting me on the counter attack and missed a big one on one chance.

First game Eto'o was on fire and I was winning 5-0 before a couple of late goals from kalzinio. Second game kalzinio outplayed me and should have scored more in the first half. For most of the game kalzinio was winning 1-0 but after I equalised there were goals from almost every attack but kalzinio fully derserved the win.

i have only played 8 games of fifa ono lol i dont know how to set up formations how to adjust ingame stuff they just kept running into my players and knocking them over and it was all cutbacks and chips

i aint got time to practice but i will get better this game is quite hard for a pro evo fanboy

how come when i attack there is one guy forward to pass to but when they did it there was like 6 or 7 it was stupid i think marsellie must be one of the worst teams in this game

First game was a really tight affair especially the first half. I managed to get my passing going in the second but found your keeper to be on immense form and he just saved everything! On the other hand, Casillas had a big lapse in concentration when a ball dropping to him with no pressure at all he suddenly decided to flap at and just fall to the ground - luckily you just missed the far post! A cross and good control and shot from Ibrahimovic was the only goal. I tried to get back but just couldn't get past your keeper and just ran out of time.

Second game I was determined not to at least conceed the first goal. I played a lot better with my passing and defended quite well. Benzema and Ronaldo were much better and actually aimed somewhere where your keeper couldn't make a save for once! :)

Cheers for the games mate, you played really well. Both games were very similar. I started off well and for the life of me couldn't score. When I finally did I missed a load more and was punished with some good tight passing around the box and with good finishing in the end. Cracking free kick you scored for your second! I chased the game and when it was 2-3 saw a bit of hope but again pushing forward cost me another goal right at the end.

Second game was much the same. Lots of chances that were not put away and a good slide through ball cut through my defence for Berbatov to score. It was tight all the way to the end although you did have a few chances yourself to make it more comfortable which just missed.

Can't believe every set of games I have played so far has gone like this :lol: Second game I though was quite even in the first half but once you made it 3 midway through the second I was never going to come back into it. My keeper must have had a nightmare as you scored 5 of your 7 shots on target :lol:

Needs editing to 0-1 nils.

No dont think it was lag, I think it was due to the players being slightly off balance whenever they got there shots in which made them weak efforts. Tough game the 2nd one.

The 1st game :eek:

You completely ran the game for 45 mins. I could not get hold of the ball and put 2 passes together.

Then as it usually happens a quick early 2nd half goal changes the game. 2-0 to 2-3 in 15 mins (thought that header was quality) and I played well. Then last minute I back off which was a big mistake which gave your striker loads of room to place a shot in the corner.

Entertaining games, you are my bogey side in the league thats for sure nils. :D

After so many high scoring games it was strange to play two such low scoring ones. First game I thought I just about shaded it and was disappointed when scott equalised with about 10 minutes left. Second game was a real smash and grab and such a scrappy game. I couldn't get out of my half for the first 15 mins as every pass went astray and scott missed hatfuls of chances. When Man Utd had a shot that hit the post and rolled accross the goal line I thought it was destined for 0-0 until I got a very underserved winner 5 minutes from time.

2 weird games. 1st everything went my way. everything.

Second was horrendous, everything went against me - his 1st two goals were my players running into each other and falling over and leaving the ball to his forward to roll into the net :doh:

Second half I rallied and there was an onslaught on his goal only for me to hit posts, miss open goals, break thro and roll it wide etc and then to cap it off my defence kept vanishing with long balls out as I piled forward and he got a 3rd. Pretty much gave up at this point and when he got his forth the pad was lucky not to be launched thro the telly :lol:

Tone completely dominated both matches, I was really lucky to get a point from the second. Then again, Tone was very fortunate to get the opener in the first game from either a major glitch or a mildly brain dead referee giving a penalty for a decent tackle in the box... watching the replay you could see the centreback slide *through* the ball... correct physics would have resulted in winning the ball but unfortunatley the attacker stumbled over my defender and the rest is history... sickening! Not that I'm bitter or anything :lol:

First game in the rain I took a 2nd minute lead and PJG pegged me back 10 mins later. I managed to get control of the game and the forwards were causing trouble once again.
Second game was actually a lot tighter, and PJG could've scored more times than he did, but again Gomez inparticular was his usual bull-ish self upfront - the guy is a monster.

Thanks mate, but I must say with a lesser team (and in past seasons) I usually really struggle against you, but in those games and in general this season a lot of my interplay and shots just seemed to be working out. I can only presume the front four for me have excellent passing stats as I've noticed they're usually pretty pinpoint in their play. :)

Hi Guys, sorry wasnt around last week, or two weekends. Got stuck in Switzerland cos of the planes not flying. I got a stag do this weekend too so I will have to play as many of my games as possible this Friday.
