View Full Version : My Cousin Vinny
Love this film, and its only £9.99 from Play for R2 so will probably get it. Nothing on Rewind so my question is how the R2 stacks up with any other region.

Yeah I love this film too - definately my favourite comedy!
The link below is a review of the R2, it's Anamorphic widescreen with a Director's Commentary and the trailer. This is pretty strange 'cos when the R1 came out (I think in Summer 2000) I can't remember anyone listing a commentary as an extra so perhaps this may be an R2 exclusive!

As far as I know Fox aren't planning an R1 re-issue so I guess this is the definitive version and at that price I would recommend that (also thanks for the heads up on Play I was gonna get it from Streets Online at £15!)
Good grief - I may have actually got my first hit at saving someone some money.
It just occured to me to check on Amazon.com and it doesn't include a directors commentary in the spec there for R1, but everything else seems the same including DD2.0 sound, but it would be nice to know the facts. In particular, I think the last time I saw it on tv it was very much toned down for language and I would like to know if the R2 DVD has been affected in that respect.
The R1 release of My Cousin Vinny DOES contain the audio commentary.
