Question about LFE with five speakers

Can anyone tell me what happens to the LFE signal if you have no subwoofer connected. Is it possible to redirect it to the main front speakers ?

Yes, set subwoofer=off and front speakers=large in the amp's setup menus (the settings for the other speakers doesn't matter for LFE, as the LFE channel will now be redirected to the FL and FR speaker, but if you set centre and rears to small, their bass will also be redirected to FL and FR)

On my Yam 620, you have to explicitly redirect LFE to Main (i.e. not just switch it off).
