Dario Argento's Sleepless CE 2 disc

Seen this at ********* and I'm very tempted. anyone bought it ?

I have it.

The film -

A return to form for Argento, says I, though I tend to like his films in a different order to most (Opera, Tenebrae, and Phenomena before Suspiria and Deep Red - the reason for this being the higher body count and faster pace of the first three). The murders in Sleepless are pretty good and gory, but maybe not as stylish and drawn out as in some of his other efforts.

The disc -

The documentary is decent. However, it didn't tell me much that I didn't already know about the great man. That said, I've spent too much of my life reading about and watching horror movies!! Unfortunately, the picture quality on both the doc and the main feature leaves a lot to be desired. The image looks very 'digital'; I thought this was most obvious on some of the shots of trees - the leaves look very blocky.

Overall -

Cautious recommendation if you're an Argento fan.
