Has anyone received this disc yet?

I have emailed them more than a few times to see if they have shipped it but they don't answer.

I know they probably have other matters on their minds at the moment but the disc is supposed to be a gift and I don't want to be let down. It may calm my nerves if I know no-one else has had it yet.

Not for this title but I spent my hard earned cash on Once Upon A Time in America which was shipped on Monday 18th Feb 2002 yet still fails to materialise. I have emailed Ringos three times but have had no reply and when I try and call them their line(s) are engaged.

I wouldn't mind so much even if I were to be given an answer as to what the situation is but nothing whatsoever just lacks grace and I'm starting to lose faith in them rapidly.

Hope this makes feel a bit better ljp and I'll let you know if I hear anything or EVEN BETTER receive anything soon.

Anyone else out there waiting on titles?

Like i mentioned on the other thread, i preordered Vampire Hunter D from them and havent recieved it yet, even though they told me it was going to be shipped last thursday.
Mailed them asking for an update and they didnt reply, so i asked them to cancel it so i can get it from play.

Anyone know what they're like at cancelling things at the mo?

I have just received an email from Angie. She is going to look into it.
So here's hoping it hasn't gone walkies!

I've also just found that I've been sent a reply and Angie is also looking into this.

Nothing here yet.
Do they normally reply to cancellation emails, or does not hearing anything mean they may pull a ********* and send it anyway?

They do seem to be a little slow replying to e-mail, but its not surprising really given whats happening. I sent two e-mails earlier this week and still havent had a reply (surprising really as the second mail contained an order). Lets hope that as the dust settles things start to get back to normal.

Just had an e-mail from my CC company. Seems that my order has been processed :)

A day later and still no reply.
Looks like I am going to upset someone on his birthday doesn't it!

I really hate it when you have no clue whats happening with an order.

Thought i'd post here as its likely some of you bought these titles after my bargain thread so I feel kinda guilty :( I haven't had SoulTaker from Ringos as it was to be supplied as a Review disc for DVDTimes, but due to whats happened over the past week obviously that won't be happening.

Looks like any delays are getting caught up with all the fuss that is going on right now, lets hope they're working hard behind the scenes even if they aren't able to respond to e-mails.

Kanedaa:

You shouldn't feel guilty about giving a company business.

By the looks of it many, people haven't received anything from Ringos all week. So try and grab another copy from elsewhere. Like many people I enjoy reading your reviews (although you were a little harsh with Golgo ;) )

As for Ringos, busy or not they should still try to sort out their customers. I have always had good service from them until now. I would think about ordering with them in future.

i phoned ringos on thursday about jay and bob,the one and bones which i ordered,i spoke to angie and she said they are having proplems at the moment with two bags of dvds lost at royal mail and they were sending replacements out of ai the one and bones.she said i should wait for the replacements to arrive within a week and she would send out jay and bob as they missed me on there other orders. So if you have not got any other film of your orders yet give them a ring and the same might of happened to you as friday morning i recieved my jay and bob.Still waiting for the other two thou.i told her if the one and bones dont turn up within a week i will phone her back angie was quite pleased about this so have some pashients with them as they are going through some **** at the moment.Hope this helps :)

I have tried phoning, usually engaged.

They don't answer their emails either!

Looks like there will be an advert on classifieds for a Soultaker - when / if I finally get it!

Just to update you all Ringo hasn't been near a P.C since Friday as he had a family emergency, and he should be home Monday to answer your emails.

I've given up on ever seeing my DVD or a refund from these crooks.

I've emailed 36 times now in the last three months. I know this because I counted 'em in my sent items. How many replies has this generated? A big fat zero.

It doesn't take 2 minutes to send a quick "we're dealing with it but we're having problems" email, but it seems that they're incapable of even that. All I've heard so far is excuses: family tragedy, email server down, spam email attacks, yadda, yadda, yadda. What next? "My Dog ate the orders?"

I strongly believe that they've gone bust. Anyone with outstanding orders should kiss their cash goodbye..

If you paid on your credit card then speak to the company involved as they can get your cash back for you.

Please dont slag off Ringos in that fashion please. For all you know they could have had a serious family tradegy and you will end up making yourself look like a pr**k. And with 4 whole posts on this board your not really 'the man' when it comes to up to date info on them are you.

I aint a Ringo 'lover' so dont think Im arse licking, they owe me 3 dvd's totalling over £50 from 2 weeks back, I just dont like your tone.

So the fact I've only posted four times invalidates my opinion? Thanks to the search facility on this site I've been able to keep totally up to date with what's going on. It seems I'm far from being the only person with a beef about this so-called company.

I'll slag Ringos in any fashion I choose to, thanks. In fact I may post similar threads with the same "tone" simply to annoy you.

ooh a grown up - go on then annoy me

good work fella

Well no it doesnt invalidate your opinion it just doesnt make you an authority on the company, its business practices or the current situation. People who have been on this forum for years have known and dealt with Ringos for years, therefore they dont get as agro as you are right now.

Ring0s are not crooks, you'll get your problem sorted eventually. I too am waiting on disks but have no problem in waiting on Stu to get his house in order first. I know you have been waiting three months but please show a little more patience in troubled times.

I wouldn't call them excuses, in actual fact they are the facts. Life goes on outside dvd's and circumstances out of our control do happen.

I strongly believe that they've gone bust. Anyone with outstanding orders should kiss their cash goodbye..

Like I said don't stress mate, Stu and Angie will get round to helping you out, when I don't know but they will. But if this is not good enough for you then take it up with your credit card company and I am sure they will reimburse you and chase Ring0s on your behalf. There's just no need in making wild accusations like that, totally uncalled for although I understand your frustration.

I think you are going to have a heart attack before you get much older. ;)

If you don't like the service just cancel the order with your credit card, shop else where.

Then take a deep breath and r e l a x .....

Theres some of us that can't cancel our credit card orders as we paid in cash up front at Bowlers!

It just doesn't seem all that professional, they could at least take 2 minutes and put a small note on their website reasurring people that they will get their disks.

I am a programmer by trade and I have had a few tragedies happen but I have always managed to be either contactable or made it known that I was still around.

Call me cold hearted but in the past I had a death in the family and because of a complete system failure, I had to miss my uncles funeral. And I would bet that there are many other people here who have suffered tragedies but have still managed to make an effort!

I'm also waiting for a replacement disc from them but I would have liked a confirmation that they go the returned one, especially as I emailed them and asked them if they had.

My sympathies are with them at this time but they are running a business, a note on the site to reassure people would be helpful.

I know they have taken the £16.00 out of my account. Judging by the other threads I doubt if I shall receive the disc. I hope they try to take some more money from the account. They will be in for a shock I cancelled the card this morning!

Seems like I haven't made myself look like a prick...

To be honest, working in the music industry, I've seen this all many times before. The excuses sometimes vary, but the family tragedy usually pops in there somewhere.

It generally works the same way. The first to get the blame are usually the post office ("But the cheque was posted last week! I'll get another one in the mail today"), then an incompetent junior in accounts ("Silly bitch..I told her the right address..") and then it's the death in the family senario.

At the end of the day the £25.00 is neither here nor there, but the fact that these cretins took my money knowing full well that they weren't going to send anything in return boils my ****.
