Have a look at:

http://www.regionfreedvd.net/player/philips.html

It claims it is. Please post if you get this to work, I'm considering getting one of these players.

I have the Philips DVD957. This is the same as the 958 apart from the colour (silver). I can confirm that this player is hackable via an One for All remote. It performs brilliantly too. I have an old pro-logic amp with six inputs and the six outputs create a suberb sound.

I've just orederd one from Richer sounds, One for all, 6 in one remote, for only £4.99, rrsp is £39.99.

A bargain.

Make sure it is a digital compatable OneforAll though, I believe the hack only works with a few of them.Mine was the OneforAll 4 model number:URC7541.

Hope this helps.

I believe the hacks are also listed at:dvdreviewer (http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/philips750.asp)

P.S. If you use the link, don't worry that it says Philips DVD750, it is the same for most Philips machines.

Good Luck!

Which bit of Lancs are you in? I think Billinge is officially Merseyside.
