As per usual sign up if you want to play next season. If you're new to the league post your gamertag as well.

This season you can use whatever club team you like but..................you will be seeded. ie the worst player in the league gets first choice, the best player gets to pick last. Anybody who gets promoted/relegated will be placed in the middle of the picking order. No duplications of teams will be allowed.

I hadn't really thought about the practacalities, but you're right the exact order of finishing will do the trick.

Due to the handicap nature of the team distribuition it would make a league cup/fa cup very interesting and level things up a bit.

I reckon new players should pick last in the bottom division (assuming they all go into bottom division). I.e. whoever finishes bottom this season will have 1st pick. And whoever get relegated from the Championship will pick ahead of the new guys. Otherwise it only rewards the new people, and surely existing players should be advantaged?

obviously we cant start picking untill we have finished last season to know the places! But will it not take ages for people to come one and decide?

I would probably split the teams we have in to 3 lots and get each person to post here a list of the teams they want in preference order. so if last place picks Barca first and so does the penultimate, he will get his second choice and so on!

just thought this might give us an extra week to try sort things out then we arnt delaying the new season for 2 much longer

Letting everyone choose their own teams, means we are relying on everyone checking this thread religiously, then ensuring that everyone picks in the right order, in time for the season kick off. I think this is what you just said Tommy.

My suggestion is to just allocate teams to everyone according to the list in post 22. So (At the end of the current season) the bottom player in the League 1 is given the top ranked team, the second bottom player is given the second best ranked team so on. Allocating teams = less organisation headache all round I think.

5 team choices would be a bare minimum I'd have thought, but people should be sensible - if you're in the Premiership don't go putting down Chelsea, Man U, Inter, Barca and Real Madrid as your five picks and expect to get any of them by the time its your pick :D

The draw will start on Tuesday 2nd March at 7pm & end on Friday 5th March at 5pm

The worst player in each division gets the first pick and so on.

If a particular player seems to be holding things up, he'll get moved to the back of the list and will either get allocated a team by me or will get to choose at the end.

If you know you're not going to be around during the period, send me a pm or an email with a list of teams (minimum of 5) in order of preference. I'll then post your team when your turn is reached.
