Hope that subject header made some sense:)
I watched JP3 last night and noticed a very strange difference between the DD 5.1 track and the DTS track.
Before you ask, I didn't watch it twice but there is a good bit at the beginning that is useful for a comparison.
It's when the Universal logo appears and the water ripples with the "thoom" sound.
When I played the DTS track the "thoom" was very weak indeed, barely any bass at all, yet when I play the DD 5.1 track it was much deeper and resonant.
Now, I should say I don't own a sub but I have got my amp set up correctly to allow for that and the config wasn't changed between track changes, neither was the volume.
I just wondered if this was typical? I would have expected the opposite tbh, as DTS tends to be louder.
Any comments/insights?
For info my amp is a Denon 1801, player is a Panny RV60.
